Laguna

Laguna is a seaport town in Santa Catarina along the South Atlantic coast with urban zones and natural beaches. The settlement spreads across coastal land with harbors that still support fishing activity today.

The town was founded in 1676 as a Portuguese military outpost against Spanish territorial claims in southern Brazil. This strategic location later became a major port for the region's fishing and trade.
