Museu Casa de Anita, Colonial museum in Laguna, Brazil
The museum occupies a yellow Portuguese-Brazilian colonial house built in 1711, featuring traditional architectural elements of the colonial period in southern Brazil.
The building served as a dress-making establishment where Anita Garibaldi prepared for her first marriage to Manuel Duarte in 1835 before meeting Giuseppe Garibaldi.
The exhibition includes panels depicting Anita Garibaldi's life journey, personal items, family portraits, and comic books illustrating regional traditions of Santa Catarina.
The museum opens daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, displaying historical artifacts, documents, and multimedia presentations about Anita Garibaldi's life.
The museum houses an urn containing soil from Anita's grave in Italy and a replica of the Seival ship used during the conflicts in Laguna.
