Praia do Rosa is a beach on the southern Santa Catarina coast that opens between green hills and forms a natural bay. The wide sandy expanse meets clear waters and features a blend of open shoreline and sheltered areas, making it suitable for both swimming and exploring.

The area began as a fishing village where local people depended on the region's abundant fish stocks. During the 1970s, surfers discovered the consistent waves and transformed it into a destination for water sports enthusiasts.

The name refers to the pinkish rock formations along the shore, not to any festival or event. The beach lies in the municipality of Imbituba, on Brazil's southern Santa Catarina coast, about 1,400 km south of Brasília. Its sheltered bay and open shoreline are used for surfing and swimming, and the surrounding hills are covered in Atlantic Forest vegetation.

The beach is roughly 80 kilometers from Florianópolis and accessible by car, with numerous accommodation options nearby in different price ranges. Check local conditions before visiting, as wind and water patterns vary considerably depending on the season.

From June to November, Southern Right Whales migrate into the protected waters offshore, making this one of Brazil's primary observation sites. This natural event draws visitors each year who get the chance to witness these giant animals from a safe distance.
