Telêmaco Borba

Telêmaco Borba is an industrial municipality in southern Paraná located at about 883 meters in elevation. The Tibagi River runs through the territory and shapes the geographic layout of the settlement.

The municipality was founded in 1947 when the Klabin Company established a paper mill and set the region's economic development in motion. Worker settlements that grew around the factory eventually developed into the municipality we see today.

The city honors its European immigrant heritage through local festivals and celebrations that remain part of community life today. These traditions shape how residents gather and mark important occasions throughout the year.

Visitors can reach the city through a regional airport and road network that connects to cities throughout the state. The infrastructure makes the region easy to access from various directions.

The city is home to Brazil's largest paper production facility, which processes raw materials from sustainably managed forest land in the region. This production center remains an essential economic driver for the local community.
