Parque Estadual Mata dos Godoy

Parque Estadual Mata dos Godoy is a nature reserve protecting roughly 690 hectares of subtropical forest near Londrina. The terrain sits at about 594 meters elevation and is crossed by several marked trails that lead through thick vegetation.

The land once belonged to the Godoy family before becoming a state park in 1989. This protection was put in place to preserve one of Paraná's last remaining subtropical forest areas.

The park functions as a place where people connect with and learn about the subtropical forest that defines this region. Visitors experience how locals value protecting these natural spaces as part of their environment.

Visitors should register at the entrance and come prepared with suitable clothing, insect repellent, and some snacks for the walk. The marked paths allow you to explore different parts of the park at your own pace.

The reserve is home to over 280 bird species and about 65 mammal species, including rare animals like white-beaked toucans and jaguars. This concentration of wildlife makes it a special place for observing animals in their natural surroundings.
