The Outeiro de Santa Catarina stands on a rock foundation with three levels connected by staircases and features walls topped with battlements.
Portuguese colonizers donated this land to the first settlers in 1539, where Luis de Goes and Catarina de Aguillar built a chapel at the base.
The property maintains a neo-gothic architectural design with pointed arch doors and windows, reflecting medieval castle influences from the 1880s construction.
Located at Visconde do Rio Branco Street 48 in Santos Historical Center, the site welcomes visitors Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Between 1880 and 1884, Italian physician Giovanni Eboli commissioned the construction of a castle-style house using remaining rocks from the original mount.
