Enseada Beach

Enseada Beach is a broad sandy cove along the Atlantic coast in Guarujá with palm trees lining the waterfront. The water is calm and shallow, ideal for swimming, and the shoreline stretches for a considerable distance with gentle slopes.

The beach emerged as a destination in the early 1900s when São Paulo residents began seeking coastal locations for recreation. Since then, it has grown into a popular retreat for swimmers and families throughout the region.

The name comes from the Portuguese word for 'cove', reflecting the sheltered waters that define this place. Visitors gather here to swim, relax, and enjoy freshly prepared seafood and drinks sold along the waterfront.

The beach is easily accessible with lifeguards stationed at regular intervals and rentals available for chairs, umbrellas, and water sports gear. It is simple to navigate on foot, and there is ample space to find a peaceful swimming area, especially outside peak hours.

Low tide creates natural rock pools that serve as safe swimming areas for children and spots to observe marine life. These shallow basins are easy to explore and reveal the activity that occurs in the tidal zone.
