Regente Feijó house

Regente Feijó house is a colonial residence in São Paulo featuring traditional rammed earth construction and a characteristic four-sided roof designed in bandeirista style. The structure now stands within the Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul campus and undergoes regular maintenance to protect its integrity.

The house was built in the 17th century and took its name from Diogo Antônio Feijó, who purchased the property in 1829 and later became regent of Brazil. This connection to a major political figure marks its place in local history.

The building displays traditional construction methods from early settlement times with rammed earth walls and a sloped roof typical of the bandeirista style. These building techniques were common among the colonial settlers who shaped this region.
