Casa Godinho, a grocery store housed inside since 1890, was recognized as intangible cultural heritage of São Paulo in 2013. The shop remains an active gathering place for the neighborhood today.
The building underwent major renovation with metal walkways connecting different sections and updated infrastructure throughout. Visitors can access a cultural plaza through a neighboring restored passage.
A restoration project added a public plaza for events, connecting different building sections through a neighboring restored passage. This new space creates an unexpected link between old and modern elements on the street.
