Hotel Central

Hotel Central is a four-story building on São João Avenue featuring high ceilings and tall doors that define its neoclassical design. The structure combines concrete and masonry and is divided into roughly 40 rooms.

The building was constructed in 1915 and opened in 1920 under the direction of architect Ramos de Azevedo. It marked a milestone as one of the first four-story buildings in São Paulo and demonstrated the city's growing modernization.

The hotel served as a gathering place for coffee merchants and business owners during the 1920s, where deals were made and celebrations held. The spaces still reflect how central this building was to the city's economic and social life at the time.

The building sits near the Palácio dos Correios in the Anhangabaú Valley area and offers direct access to the city center's main transportation networks. Its central location makes it easy for visitors to walk to other nearby attractions.
