Hotel Central, Historic hotel building in central São Paulo, Brazil
The Hotel Central stands on São João Avenue with four floors, featuring high ceilings and tall doors that characterize its neoclassical architecture design.
Built in 1915 and opened in the 1920s by architect Ramos de Azevedo, this establishment marked a milestone as the first four-story building in São Paulo.
During its prime in the 1920s, the hotel served as a meeting point for coffee barons and emerging merchants, reflecting the economic growth of São Paulo.
Located near Palácio dos Correios in the Anhangabaú Valley area, the building provides direct access to central São Paulo's main transportation networks.
The structure incorporates concrete and masonry construction techniques, divided into 40 rooms that maintain the original nineteenth-century architectural influences.
