Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, Caconde, Catholic basilica in Caconde, Brazil

The Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception is a Catholic church in Caconde with a facade flanked by two round Baroque-style towers inaugurated on 8 December 1939. Inside, three oil paintings by local artist Edmundo Migliaccio depict the Crucified Jesus, the Assumption, and Our Lady of the Conception. The main altar holds relics of Saints Donato and Pancrácio, and above the patron's niche hangs the basilical umbella.

The parish was created on 19 March 1775 by order of Manuel da Ressurreição, third bishop of São Paulo, making it the second oldest parish of the Diocese of São João da Boa Vista. The first church, at Bom Sucesso, fell into ruins, and in 1820 the bishop granted a provision for a new mother church; the land was donated in 1822 by Miguel da Silva Teixeira and Maria Antônia dos Santos. The church was consecrated in 1975 and raised to minor basilica by Pope Benedict XVI in 2008.

The basilica serves as a gathering place where local Catholics practice their faith through daily worship and Marian devotion. The community here maintains traditions that connect people to their religious identity in meaningful, visible ways.

The church stands in the centre of Caconde, in the northwest of São Paulo state, and the parish is the second oldest in the Diocese of São João da Boa Vista. The main feast is that of Our Lady of the Conception on 8 December, when the two rounded baroque towers were inaugurated in 1939. Visitors should dress modestly and keep silent during services.

The 2006 spiritual bond with Rome's Basilica of Saint Mary Major lets this shrine grant plenary indulgences under the same terms as the papal basilica. The church also keeps a relic of Saint Roch whose right arm was shattered by a projectile in 1932, after which Caconde proclaimed him protector of the city.
