Estádio do Canindé

Estádio do Canindé is a sports stadium in Pari District, São Paulo, Brazil, with a capacity for over 21,000 spectators. The two-tier stand layout includes press rooms, floodlighting towers, and different seating sections around the pitch.

The facility opened on January 11, 1956, after a construction period that began in 1953. Major renovation works in 1973 expanded the stands and modernized the technical facilities for match operations.

As the home ground of Associação Portuguesa de Desportos, the venue draws supporters from across the city who fill the stands on match days. The environment reflects the local football culture, where fans regularly gather and support their team through chants and cheers.

The venue provides over 9,000 numbered individual seats plus additional standing areas for larger events. Floodlighting masts allow evening matches to take place, while separate entrances help organize visitor flow during well-attended games.

During renovation work in 1973, construction workers left a tractor buried beneath the turf after it became impossible to remove it from the site. The vehicle remains underground to this day and has never been excavated since.
