Anil Beach is an urban beach in Angra dos Reis, bordered by a wide raised promenade, a cycle path, the two-way Avenida Ayrton Senna and the railway line along its whole length. Its broad strip of sand holds volleyball nets and football goals, and at low tide you can walk to Ilha dos Coqueiros. The right end has a boat dock, ramps and a helipad.

The beach has been closed to swimming for over 20 years because of pollution. In August 2007 the SAAE began separating sewage from rainwater, laying about two thousand metres of collector mains and building two pumping stations. Dredging started in October 2008 but was halted by Ibama, which fined the city R$ 600,000 and the contractor ACLIVE R$ 100,000; a new project was then financed by the BrasFels shipyard.

The beach serves as a gathering place where locals spend time together and enjoy the water. Its position along Ayrton Senna Avenue makes it a natural hub for daily activities and social connections.

The beach offers direct access to restaurants, accommodation, and public transportation stops along the main avenue. Visitors can easily reach the beach and find food and lodging nearby.

The water is cleaned by a specialized system of pumps and pipes that transport it to a treatment facility. This network works continuously in the background to keep bathing conditions safe.
