Praia da Enseada

Praia da Enseada is a 12 kilometer stretch of light-colored sand that runs along the Atlantic coast with clear access to the water throughout its length. The beach offers both calm swimming areas and sections with stronger waves suitable for surfing.

The area began as a traditional fishing settlement built on maritime commerce and local fishing practices. These coastal traditions continue to shape the community and remain visible in how people use the shoreline today.

Local fishing boats arrive in the morning and unload catches on the sand, with fishermen selling fresh seafood directly to restaurants and beach visitors. This daily practice shapes the rhythm and character of the shoreline.

Multiple access points from BR-101 lead to the beach, with parking available on unpaved streets nearby. Regular buses connect the area to downtown Ubatuba, making it easy to visit without a car.

A walking trail called Ponta do Espia connects this beach to five neighboring ones, allowing visitors to explore a series of coastal paths without returning to the main road. Many people miss this trail, which offers a rewarding way to discover the wider coastline.
