Brodowski

Brodowski is a municipality in the northeastern region of São Paulo state at an elevation of about 861 meters (2,825 feet). The town spans approximately 278 square kilometers with the characteristics of a rural community in this part of Brazil.

The municipality received its name from Polish engineer Alexandre Brodowski, who oversaw the Mogiana Railway Company and supervised construction of the train station in 1894. This railway connection shaped the town's early development and regional ties.

The birthplace of Brazilian painter Cândido Portinari stands in this town and now operates as a museum housing his original works and personal belongings. Visitors can explore where this important artist spent his childhood and learn about his creative journey.
