Pires do Rio

Pires do Rio is a municipality located in Goiás in Brazil's Central-West region. The town encompasses agricultural land, residential neighborhoods, and commercial zones that form the fabric of daily life here.

The founding of this municipality emerged from the construction of a railroad station in the late 19th century. A significant land donation by Coronel Lino Teixeira Sampaio helped establish the settlement and shape its early growth.
