Lago das Rosas

Lago das Rosas is a large public park in downtown Goiânia with a lake, walking paths, and resting areas throughout the grounds. The site also houses a zoo with animals displayed across different sections of the park.

The land was donated in 1933 as part of the plan for the new capital of Goiás and gradually developed over time. It first served as a swimming area before being transformed into a public park and later expanded to include a zoo.

The park serves as a gathering place where people from the city come to walk, exercise, and spend time together. The lake and green areas form the social heart of this neighborhood.

The park is accessible on most days and offers different ways to explore on foot or by boat on the lake. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and allow enough time for a leisurely walk through the grounds.

Boat rentals on the lake offer visitors a hands-on way to experience the water and see the park from a different perspective. This activity provides a unique view of the surroundings that walking paths alone cannot offer.
