Grande Hotel de Goiânia, Art Deco museum in central Goiânia, Brazil

The Grande Hotel de Goiânia is a three-story Art Deco building in the Setor Central, set between Avenida Tocantins, Araguaia and Independência and framed by Avenida Goiás and Avenida Anhanguera. Built on a 2,178 m² site, it originally held 60 rooms and four luxury apartments, with hot and cold running water and garages. The state government manages it.

Construction began in 1935 and the Grande Hotel opened on 23 January 1937, the first hotel in Goiânia, then in its early growth as the new capital of Goiás. It was designed with three floors, 60 rooms and four luxury apartments on a 2,178 m² site, and its restaurant-bar became the meeting point of Goianian society. IPHAN listed it as Goiânia's historical patrimony on 18 November 2003.

The hotel's restaurant-bar became the meeting point of Goianian society in the late 1930s. The building itself was the subject of the revue "Goiânia", which premiered on 8 June 1938 at the Cine-Teatro Campinas; in Act II, Scene VIII, the hotel comes to life and sings an aria about its near-pink tones, made so that its guests' dreams would match. Since 2013 it has housed a children's and youth library run with the Federal University of Goiás.

The building is centrally located at a major street intersection, making it easy to reach on foot. Visitors should allow time to explore the Art Deco architectural details both inside and outside the structure.

The hotel was the subject of the revue "Goiânia", premiered on 8 June 1938 at the Cine-Teatro Campinas, with text by Vasco dos Reis Gonçalves and music by Joaquim Edson Camargo. In Scene VIII of the second act the building comes to life and sings about its almost rosy tones, chosen to match the dreams of its guests.
