Grande Hotel de Goiânia, Art Deco museum in central Goiânia, Brazil
The Grande Hotel de Goiânia stands as a three-story building with 60 rooms and four luxury apartments at the intersection of Rua 3 and Avenida Goiás.
Constructed in 1935 and opened in 1937, this establishment became one of the first three buildings in the newly established capital city of Goiás state.
The hotel hosted numerous piano performances and carnival balls featuring the Military Police Band, establishing itself as a central gathering point for social events.
The building underwent renovation work in 2004 during the Casa Cor event and continues to serve as a museum showcasing the architectural heritage of Goiânia.
Anthropologist Claude Lévi-Strauss and President Getúlio Vargas stayed at this hotel, which features hot and cold running water systems from its original construction.
