Pontalina

Pontalina is a municipality in south-central Goiás situated at 610 meters elevation and covering roughly 1,400 square kilometers. It borders nine different municipalities and sits in the area where two significant regional rivers flow.

The settlement started in the 19th century when cattle ranchers established farms across the region. It was officially recognized as a municipality in 1938 after separating from the nearby city of Morrinhos.

The town has become known as a lingerie production hub, with manufacturers creating products sold throughout Brazil and beyond. This industry shapes the local economy and daily work life for many residents.
