Escola de Arquitetura da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais

The Escola de Arquitetura at UFMG is an architecture faculty in Belo Horizonte housed in a modernist building designed by Shakespeare Gomes. The structure, located in the Savassi neighborhood, contains classrooms, workshops, and research laboratories dedicated to architectural training.

Founded in 1930, it became the first architecture academy in South America to operate independently from polytechnic, art, and philosophy schools. This separation established a new model for dedicated architectural education across the continent.
