Casa dos Braga is a 16-room house on Rua 25 de Março in central Cachoeiro de Itapemirim. It holds the Walter dos Santos Paiva library with over 20,000 books, a mini-museum of family paintings, drawings, photos and old editions of the Correio do Sul newspaper, and a rear poetry square with benches and a garden.

The house was bought by Francisco Carvalho Braga in 1913, and his younger daughters Yedda and Anna Graça were born there. In 1985 it was listed by the municipal heritage authority, and in April 1987, under mayor Roberto Valadão, it became a tourist-cultural institution. Francisco Braga, known as colonel, was Cachoeiro's first mayor.

The house keeps the memory of the Braga family: the mini-museum holds paintings, drawings and photographs of the brothers Rubem Braga and Newton Braga, plus old editions of the Correio do Sul newspaper founded by their elder brothers in 1928. At the back, the Praça da Poesia has benches and a garden area used for readings of Rubem's chronicles and Newton's poems.

The house stands at Rua 25 de Março 166, in the centre of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, a short walk from the city's central streets. The 16-room building holds the Walter dos Santos Paiva library, the mini-museum and, at the back, the Praça da Poesia with benches and a garden area used for readings.

The house was bought by Francisco Carvalho Braga in 1913, and his two youngest daughters, Yedda and Anna Graça, were born there. The family's elder sons, Jerônimo and Armando, founded the newspaper Correio do Sul in 1928, and its first texts by Rubem Braga are kept in the mini-museum.
