Forno Grande State Park is a protected mountain forest in Castelo covering roughly 900 hectares of Atlantic Forest. The terrain includes several viewing platforms, natural water springs, and a rich mix of plant and tree species throughout.
The area gained protection as a forest reserve in 1960 to safeguard the region's woodlands. In 1998, it officially became a state park through legislation.
