Abadia de Goiás

Abadia de Goiás is a municipality in central Goiás that sits at 898 meters in elevation. Several federal highways pass through the area, including the BR-060, which connects regional cities.

The municipality grew from agricultural beginnings and became part of the Goiânia metropolitan area. It took on a role managing materials from the 1987 Goiânia incident.
