Jaguaribe Beach

This beach spreads along the shore with coconut palms creating shade over a wide sandy area situated between Patamares and Piatã neighborhoods. The waterfront curves gently, offering a natural protected setting that stretches for several hundred meters along Salvador's coastline.

Over time, schools teaching surfing and kite surfing were established along this part of the coast, gradually transforming it into a water sports hub. These developments brought new activity and uses to what was previously a quieter coastal area.

Local people regularly gather on the sand to play casual football matches on weekends, a common sight that reflects how important this stretch is for daily recreation. The beach serves as a natural meeting place where residents come together to enjoy themselves and each other's company.

Umbrellas and beach equipment are available for rent, while nearby shops, eating places, and pharmacies make it easy to handle basic needs during your visit. Access to the shore is straightforward, with plenty of room for swimming, resting, and water sports.

A section called Terceira Ponte offers especially good conditions for kite surfing from September through February thanks to steady northeast winds that blow during those months. This makes it a favorite spot for water sports enthusiasts during this season.
