The construction of Igreja de São Benedito began in 1854 following a request from the Brotherhood of Glorious São Benedito and reached completion in 1872.
The church serves as the central location for the annual Marujada de São Benedito celebrations, a significant regional religious and cultural festival.
Religious services occur regularly with masses held on Sundays at 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM, while the parish office operates Tuesday through Friday.
The main altar displays an 18th-century statue of São Benedito alongside various religious figures including São João Batista and Nossa Senhora de Fátima.
