Arena Guilherme Paraense

Arena Guilherme Paraense is a multi-purpose sports facility in Belém with a hardwood playing surface measuring approximately 30 by 50 meters and tiered seating reaching up to 31 levels. The space accommodates everything from basketball games to concerts, with flexible configurations depending on the event type.

The facility was designed by architect Alcyr Meira and inaugurated in October 2016 after nearly three years of construction. The project represented a modernization effort to provide the city with contemporary event and sports infrastructure.

The venue serves as a gathering place for musical performances, athletic competitions, and community events in northern Brazil. Visitors experience how locals come together here to celebrate sports and entertainment throughout the year.

The venue provides dedicated seating areas for visitors with mobility needs, multiple accessible restrooms, and food stations throughout the building. Arriving early is advisable to secure parking and avoid long queues during large events.

The playing surface incorporates a floating floor system with neoprene rubber dampers that reduce the impact of jumping and running movements. This design protects athletes' joints and allows them to perform at higher intensity for longer periods.
