Aldo Scribante Circuit, Racing circuit in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
The Aldo Scribante Circuit is a racing track in Port Elizabeth's industrial area stretching about 2.5 kilometers with eight turns. The facility sits near major automotive manufacturing plants and hosts multiple car and motorcycle racing events.
The track opened in November 1975 with 12,000 spectators watching a motorcyclist win the inaugural race on a Honda 750. Decades later it received a complete surface renovation in 2018 with support from the Scribante family.
The circuit serves as home to the Algoa Motor Sport Club and draws local racers who use the track for training and competitions. Visitors can watch drivers testing different vehicle classes and pushing their skills on the asphalt.
The venue hosts various racing events throughout the year, including the Winter Motor Sport Festival in August. Visitors can purchase entry tickets at the gate and should check ahead to see what races are scheduled.
The track serves as a testing ground for vehicles from major automotive companies in the region and is often used for development and quality control. This makes it an important place where new models complete their first test runs.
