Manzini

Manzini is Eswatini's second-largest urban center, with numerous shops and commercial establishments spread throughout its neighborhoods. The city functions as the country's main trading hub, offering a range of businesses and services for residents and visitors.

The settlement began in 1885 as Bremersdorp, serving as a center for British and Boer colonial administration. It was destroyed during the Second Boer War in 1902 but eventually rebuilt and grew into today's trading center.

The annual Swaziland International Trade Fair draws merchants and visitors together, growing from the Agricultural and Mechanical Show that began in the 1920s. This event shows how commerce shapes urban life and regional connections.

The city offers a range of accommodation options including hotels and guesthouses throughout its neighborhoods. Getting around on foot is manageable for most areas, though having a vehicle helps for visiting more distant parts of the region.

Fairview Township, founded in 1964, was the country's first integrated residential neighborhood, a rare step at that time. The area was later divided into north and south sections but remains an important part of the city's character.
