Thornybush Game Reserve

Thornybush Game Reserve is a private conservation area in Mopani District covering about 14,000 hectares. An unfenced border with Kruger National Park allows wildlife to move freely between the natural landscapes on both sides.

The reserve was established in 1955 to begin wildlife conservation efforts in the region. Following its creation, multiple animal species were reintroduced over the decades to restore ecological balance.
