Nsele Valley Park

Nsele Valley Park is a nature reserve in Maluku commune and covers rolling hills, riverbanks, and floodplains that stretch across the landscape. The terrain borders the Batéké Plateau and Nsingi mountains, creating diverse habitats for wildlife and vegetation.

The reserve was established as a game preserve in 2018, marking an important moment for conservation efforts in the region. Its creation reflects growing attention to protecting the natural environments and wildlife of the area.

The park is managed by Ferme Espoir, an agricultural organization that operates several facilities across the region and shapes how local communities engage with the land. The grounds feature repurposed airplane wrecks that serve as a restaurant and nightclub, creating an unusual architectural feature on site. These structures operate on solar power and a small hydroelectric plant, making them self-sufficient energy sources.
