Jardin des Tortues

The garden houses over 400 turtles within a 6,000-square-meter tropical environment filled with native plants and dedicated conservation areas for different species.

The garden officially started its conservation mission on November 30, 2019, establishing a specialized facility for both land and sea turtle preservation.

The facility promotes environmental education through guided interactions with Aldabra giant tortoises and presentations about Reunion Island's natural heritage.

The garden operates from Tuesday to Sunday between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, with adult admission at 9 euros and children aged 4-11 at 6 euros.

Visitors can participate in the 'Soigneur d'un Jour' program on Wednesday mornings, spending five hours learning about turtle care and maintenance.
