Fitzgerald River National Park, Nature reserve in Western Australia, Australia
The Fitzgerald River National Park spans 297,211 hectares along the southern coast, featuring diverse landscapes from mountains to coastal plains.
The park gained protection status in 1973, incorporating the former Fitzgerald River State Park and surrounding Crown land into a national conservation area.
The Goreng, Menang, and Wudjari peoples maintain traditional connections to this land, which contains numerous sites of Aboriginal significance.
The park offers two main access points through sealed roads: from Bremer Bay in the west and from Hopetoun in the east.
The reserve contains 1,600 plant species, with 75 species found nowhere else on Earth, representing 20 percent of Western Australia's plant varieties.
