Two Peoples Bay Nature Reserve

The reserve extends across 28 square kilometers of coastal land featuring white sand beaches, granite outcrops, and native woodland vegetation along the Indian Ocean.

The nature reserve gained conservation status in the 1960s following the rediscovery of several species previously thought extinct, including the Gilbert's potoroo.

The land holds deep connections to Aboriginal communities who maintained intricate knowledge of local ecosystems through generations of traditional management practices.

The visitor center provides 31 standard parking spaces, 5 long vehicle bays, accessible toilets, and gas barbecues, while entry fees apply and pets are prohibited.

The reserve protects the last known population of Gilbert's potoroo, making it the primary sanctuary for this critically endangered marsupial species.
