Kaibon Palace, Royal palace ruins in Serang City, Indonesia.

Kaibon Palace is a royal palace complex in Serang City featuring five entrance gates standing about 2 meters tall and traditional Indonesian architectural elements. Stone walls trace the outlines of former royal chambers throughout the grounds.

The complex was built in 1815 as the residence of Queen Aisyah, mother of Sultan Maulana Muhammad Shaifuddin of the Banten Sultanate. It served as an important seat of female leadership within the royal family for generations.

The grounds remain a place where local people gather to conduct traditional ceremonies and cultural events throughout the year. These occasions reflect the site's enduring importance in the community's spiritual life.

The site is reached by a roughly two-hour drive from Jakarta along Pantura Street on well-maintained roads. Bring appropriate footwear as the grounds are partially overgrown and uneven in places.

The name comes from the Indonesian word 'keibuan,' meaning motherly love, reflecting the palace's role as a queen mother's residence. This choice reveals how deeply the ruler's personal role shaped the identity of the place.
