Rawamangun

Rawamangun is an administrative district in Pulo Gadung in East Jakarta that covers about 260 hectares at an elevation of 13 meters. The area is bordered by Kayu Putih to the north and Jati to the east, combining residential zones with university campuses and other facilities.

The area evolved from a peripheral zone into an established urban district in East Jakarta through continuous development over several decades. Over time, infrastructure and facilities expanded to support the growing population and its needs.

The neighborhood is home to several universities and educational institutions that shape daily life and student activities. The mix of campus areas and residential buildings creates an environment marked by young people and academic pursuits.

The area is well connected to central Jakarta through multiple transportation options including TransJakarta buses, LRT service, and Velodrome station. Visitors can easily access different parts of the city and move around the neighborhood relatively easily.

The Jakarta International Velodrome, a major cycling facility in the area, hosted competition events during the 2018 Asian Games. The venue remains an active site for cycling races and training activities.
