Istana Anak-Anak Indonesia

The Istana Anak-Anak Indonesia is an educational building within Taman Mini Indonesia Indah that spans four floors with dual wings and prominent towers at its center. Inside, visitors find amusement features like carousels and bumper cars alongside exhibition spaces and learning areas spread throughout the structure.

The complex was established in 1986 when President Suharto opened it as a dedicated space for education through play in Jakarta. The facility became part of a broader effort to support learning and entertainment specifically designed for younger generations.

The palace displays traditional puppet collections and traditional games from across the islands in separate exhibition spaces, allowing visitors to explore how Indonesian children have played and learned through generations.

Entry to the grounds is straightforward, and visitors should expect multiple activity stations throughout the building with varying fees for each. Exploring all areas typically takes several hours, so plan accordingly to experience the different zones without rushing.

The site includes a shallow swimming pool called Sendang Sejodo surrounded by artificial waterfalls and forest settings that many visitors overlook. This water feature creates an unexpected retreat within the complex and blends recreation with natural surroundings.
