Tebet Eco Park, Urban park in Tebet, Indonesia
Tebet Eco Park is an urban park in Jakarta that spans multiple hectares and is divided into two linked sections. The landscape includes a forest area, wetland boardwalk, children's play space, open plaza, and themed gardens throughout its grounds.
The park first opened in 2010 under a different name, then underwent a complete redesign in 2022 to solve flooding issues. This renovation improved both the environmental quality and how people can move through the space.
The Community Garden section allows local residents to actively participate in planting and caring for green spaces together. You can see how people gather here to maintain gardens and connect with nature in their neighborhood.
The park is easy to walk through with clear pathways and multiple entry points throughout the grounds. Shaded rest areas and facilities are spread across the site, making it comfortable to spend time exploring at your own pace.
During the 2022 redesign, the park preserved more than 1500 existing trees and incorporated them into the new layout. A once-polluted canal was transformed into a clean waterway that uses native plants to naturally filter the water.
