Wetar is a tropical island in Maluku province that stretches about 120 kilometers in length and about 43 kilometers in width. The landscape features mountains whose highest peak reaches approximately 1,412 meters.
This island formed through tectonic activity between the Indo-Australian Plate and the Eurasian Plate. This geological process shaped the island's current geographic structure.
