Murrumbidgee Valley National Park

The park extends over 47,703 hectares across the Riverina region, featuring river red gum forests, wetlands, woodlands, and sandy beaches along the river.

The New South Wales government established Murrumbidgee Valley National Park in 2010 to protect the river red gum forests from timber harvesting and agricultural expansion.

The park forms part of the Murrumbidgee Valley River Parks system, connecting multiple precincts across 250 kilometers from Collingullie to Hay.

Visitors can access multiple campgrounds including Wooloondool, Bunyip Hole, and Narrandera, with options for fishing, kayaking, swimming, cycling, and hiking activities.

The park contains sections of the world's longest continuous river red gum forest, providing essential habitats for koalas and numerous bird species.
