The Goulburn Rail Heritage Centre contains a roundhouse with 42 roads constructed around a 27.4-meter electric-powered turntable and multiple workshop buildings.
The railway depot opened in 1869 when the line from Sydney extended to Goulburn, with the roundhouse construction completed in 1918.
The museum displays an extensive collection of locomotives, including steam engines from Craven Brothers, Vulcan Foundry, and Baldwin Locomotive Works.
The center operates Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with guided tours priced at $15 for adults and $5 for children.
The facility maintains active railway operations while functioning as a museum, combining preservation efforts with commercial locomotive maintenance services.
