Splash Planet

Splash Planet is a water park sprawling across 6.5 hectares and features water slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, and multiple attractions designed for all ages. The layout includes areas suited for both children and adults, allowing visitors of different ages to find activities at their own pace.

The park originally opened in 1968 under the name Fantasyland as a separate amusement destination. The facility later underwent transformation and became known as Splash Planet, marking New Zealand's sole water theme park.

The water park serves as a central meeting point for families in the Hawke's Bay region, drawing locals back year after year for seasonal recreation and social gatherings. Visitors return regularly to spend warm months together with friends and family in a shared recreational space.

The park operates seasonally from November through March, with varying hours depending on peak and late summer periods. Arriving early in the day helps you avoid crowds and maximize time for different attractions.
