Leuralla

Leuralla is a Federation Arts and Crafts mansion set in the Blue Mountains with formal gardens spread across 5 hectares. The residence features seven bedrooms, a drawing room, lounge, and rooms designed for entertaining guests.

The structure was built between 1910 and 1914 after a bushfire destroyed the original house in 1909. It was commissioned by yachtsman Harry Andreas and reflects early 20th-century residential design.

From 1980 to 2022, the property housed a museum displaying 20th-century toys, including rare model trains and an extensive Barbie doll collection.

Plan to spend time exploring both the interior rooms and the surrounding garden grounds. Comfortable footwear is advisable as the steep sandstone entrance stairs and expansive garden areas require considerable walking.

The residence included a central vacuum cleaning system and an intercom network built into the structure from the start. These modern conveniences reveal the sophisticated living standards expected by the original owner.
