Junuy Juluum National Park, Nature reserve in Bellingen Shire Council, Australia.
Junuy Juluum National Park is a nature reserve on the Mount Campion slopes covering 945 hectares. The area is defined by warm temperate rainforest, with walking trails that wind through dense vegetation and create habitat for forest birds.
The park was established in 1999 to protect the regional rainforests and animal populations from further disturbance. The protection followed growing awareness of the need to safeguard these rare forest areas in Australia.
The name comes from the Gumbaynggirr language of the local Aboriginal people. Today, bird watchers visit to hear the calls of rare birds that make their homes in the forest canopy.
Visitors drive via Lower Bielsdown Road about 10 kilometers north of Dorrigo to reach the park entrance. Sturdy footwear is important since trails can get slippery after rain, and humidity remains high throughout the year.
Mount Campion rises to 970 meters within the park and is visible from the main park road. This peak offers observant visitors natural vantage points with views over the rainforest landscape.
