Built between 1906 and 1970s for local farmer Alexander McAllister, the hotel received its first publican license in November 1906 and remained in the Meredith family until 1969.
The establishment represents a central gathering point in Forest Hill, marking the period when the town became a major agricultural produce distribution center.
Located at 52 Victoria Street in Forest Hill, the hotel contains two bars, upstairs accommodation, and a dining room added in the late 1970s.
The building retains original architectural elements including carved timber balustrades, stained glass windows, and a timber archway that showcase rural Queensland craftsmanship.
