Franklyn Vale Homestead

Franklyn Vale Homestead is a historic farm residence in Queensland with single-story weatherboard construction, wide verandahs, and hipped roofs surrounded by formal gardens. The property includes several outbuildings such as a meathouse, summerhouse, shed, and schoolroom constructed during different periods.

The property started as a 60,000 hectare sheep station in 1843 and shifted to the Mort family in 1849, who developed it into a major agricultural operation. Later additions and modifications over several decades show the economic growth of the region.
