Reef HQ was a public aquarium in Townsville, Queensland, housed in the same complex as the Museum of Tropical Queensland. Its Coral Reef Exhibit held about 2.5 million litres of water, with 130 coral species and 120 fish species, and was open to rainfall, sunlight and moonlight. A pneumatic wave machine moved the water. The site also had a Predator Exhibit, a children's section, a gift shop and a cafe.

Reef HQ opened on 14 June 1987 as the Great Barrier Reef Aquarium, a Bicentennial Commemorative project of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and the vision of its former chairman Dr Graeme Kelleher. It was renamed Reef HQ in 1999, and in 2009 the name was changed to reflect its original name. A turtle hospital opened on 24 August 2009, partly funded by over $60,000 in community donations. The aquarium closed in 2021; demolition was slated for late 2026, with a new aquarium planned by 2029.

Reef HQ was named the Great Barrier Reef Aquarium at its opening on 14 June 1987, renamed Reef HQ in 1999, then changed back in 2009 to Reef HQ Great Barrier Reef Aquarium. Its turtle hospital, opened on 24 August 2009 with over $60,000 in community donations, was the first in north Queensland dedicated to rehabilitating sea turtles for release into the wild.

Reef HQ closed in 2021 and its former site in the Townsville CBD, shared with the Museum of Tropical Queensland and an IMAX theatre, is slated for demolition from late 2026, with a new aquarium planned by 2029. Check locally before travelling, as the old tanks are not open to visitors.
