Ruth Glacier extends for 26 miles through the Alaska Range, featuring a deep gorge with surrounding granite walls rising 4,900 feet above the ice surface.

Explorer Frederick Cook discovered and named this glacier after his youngest daughter during his 1903 expedition through the Denali region of Alaska.

The granite formations near Ruth Glacier include distinct spires named Moose's Tooth, Broken Tooth, and Bear Tooth, reflecting Alaska's connection to wildlife.
