The Manor

The Manor is a châteauesque mansion in Holmby Hills, an exclusive neighborhood of Los Angeles, and spans approximately 56,500 square feet with 123 rooms. The property includes 14 bedrooms, 27 bathrooms, and sits on a 4.7-acre estate.

An architect built the estate in 1986 for Aaron Spelling after the former home of Bing Crosby was demolished. The building sold in 2019 for nearly 120 million dollars, setting a record for residential property in Los Angeles County at that time.

The residence was built by a television producer and reflects the lifestyle of wealthy Los Angeles families with spaces such as a private cinema and a bowling alley. The château architecture stands apart from most California homes and recalls French manor houses from the 19th century.

The estate sits in Holmby Hills, a quiet area west of Beverly Hills, and cannot be seen from the street. Access is by invitation only, as it remains a private residence.

The garden contains rose beds, fountains, koi ponds, and a tennis court, maintained by a staff of roughly 30 people. The estate ranks among the largest private properties in Los Angeles and requires ongoing work to preserve its condition.
