Corriganville Movie Ranch

Corriganville is a former movie ranch and film studio in Simi Valley covering roughly 1500 acres. The landscape features natural sandstone formations, oak trees, and the Santa Susana Mountains alongside Arroyo Simi.

Ray Corrigan purchased this land in 1937 and transformed it into a major filming location for numerous western productions. The site later became a popular theme park before converting to public parkland in 1998.

The site once housed Silvertown, a recreated western town where visitors watched staged gunfights and stunt shows unfold. This interactive experience shaped how people engaged with stories of the Old West.

The site now operates as a regional park with hiking trails that pass through former filming locations. Visitors can explore the varied landscape where movies were once shot.

An underground bunker near a cliff waterfall allowed film crews to shoot underwater scenes while staying dry themselves. This clever construction was an example of the creative problem-solving used on the property.
