Pacific Park, Amusement park on Santa Monica Pier, US.
Pacific Park is an amusement park on the Santa Monica Pier in California, with twelve rides distributed across two levels above the Pacific. The attractions range from a large Ferris wheel to smaller rides for younger visitors.
The park opened in late May 1996, adding a new layer of entertainment to the historic pier. The Ferris wheel was later upgraded with solar technology.
The park maintains free entry policy, allowing locals and tourists to walk through and experience the Santa Monica beach lifestyle without admission fees.
Entry to the park is free, so visitors can walk through without paying. Individual ride tickets and unlimited ride wristbands can be purchased on site.
The Ferris wheel runs entirely on solar power and rises about 130 feet (40 m) high. It is illuminated at night by more than 170,000 LED lights visible above the ocean.
